How the rating is composed and what positions Bitrix24 has taken

This year, Bitrix24 has entered the GetApp leaderboard in two categories at once: it has taken the 5th place among CRM and the 7th place among HR products.

GetApp is an online source where customers can visually compare software products in the same category, get useful recommendations, and learn the opinion of other users about the products. Based on research, analytics, trends, and verified reviews, the service experts draw up various rankings so that users could choose a product that would be right for their particular needs.

Yes, yes, we know. We are wary of yet another rating or chat, too. That's why we didn't take it for granted and checked what criteria the GetApp experts used to assess products.

Scoring methodology

Experts assess hundreds of products to rank each category. The list of leaders includes 10-15 products with the highest score. Product scores are counted following five criteria. The maximum value for each criterion is 20, the total is 100.

Assessment of any product is based on the following criteria:

1. User reviews. This metric is calculated based on the average user rating (on a scale from 1 to 5) that reflects the overall users' satisfaction with a particular product.

2. Integrations. 5 points are given to a product for an open API. The number of additional scores depends on the integrational potential of the product:

  • GetApp experts determine the list of the most frequently mentioned integrations for each category (for example, in the Project Management category, the most common integrations are with Zapier and G Suite).

  • Each product is assessed depending on the number of available integrations. The more popular the third-party product is, the more points are given to the assessed product. 

3. Mobile platforms. The experts assess the products based on the availability of native iOS and Android apps, as well as mobile web apps. User reviews of those apps are taken into consideration, too. 

4. Functionality. This metric is composed of two elements:

  • user rating (average rating (on a scale from 1 to 5) of users' satisfaction with the technical and functional stuffing of the product);

  • breadth of functionality (to which extent the product's functionality meets the basic set of characteristics that all products of this category should have, according to GetApp experts).

5. Security. Security scores are awarded following the survey that is filled out by the vendors themselves (the questions largely coincide with the Cloud Security Alliance self-assessment form as part of the Security, Trust & Assurance Registry). The opinions of GetApp experts are also taken into consideration.

Data sources include published user reviews, public data sources, and data provided by vendors.
